💋 About Mom…

I know today is all about spoiling mom and the admiration of her sacrifices. However, for me Mother’s day is everyday. Everything I write today is how I feel all year long.

It’s funny how you grow up and say “I am going to be an individual.” Yet you catch yourself reacting or even talking just like your mother would. In those moments you realize the obvious influence.

One morning this week, my husband was getting dressed for work while running late. The first thing I said was “Jay c’mon, time passing on!” In that instance I remembered school days, appointments, and her waiting at the door telling me that exact same thing.

It’s funny how one person can have such an overwhelming effect on your entire life. My ambition, tolerance, and demand for respect all comes from her.

“Tiffany, you’re my little princess and I am the queen. No one in this world will know your worth better than you. Never let anyone treat you less than your royal post.”

These words have been the soundtrack to my entire life. My crown may have been tilted at times but I always remembered to straighten it because of her words in my head.

She also taught me the real meaning of how to love other people. Also how your love should be a reflection of God.

“Tiffany selflessness is purest form of love.”

I remember waking up on my sixteenth birthday to her dancing around my bed. “Tiffy your my sweet sixteen baby…” Along with some crazy twerk movements that clearly made me laugh. My birthday is always around school starting and the rent being due. Needless to say, things were tight.

My mom had $5.00 dollars to her name and was  broke. Yet she couldn’t just not get me anything for my birthday. At the time I loved hot dogs from our local Wawa. So my mom took her last and brought two hot dogs to celebrate my special day.

My mom has always brought me the best of the best my entire life but that gift always meant the most to me. It wasn’t the food it was just her will to sacrifice for me. I knew in that moment that some parents are truly hand picked by God and I was the blessed one.

I was so appreciative to that and I always tell that story with such pride. Few weeks later she brought me a watch and said it was my real gift. Although the real gift to me was her will to go without to make me happy. Her kind gestures are just a fraction of what makes her the most amazing person.

That’s why she is my favorite girl.

I wanted to thank her with an open heart for all she has given me. Lots of memories, laughs and life lessons.

Although I can’t be with her this year due to distance it doesn’t mean she isn’t always in my thoughts or my heart.

You’re my hero mom. In my eyes there is nothing you can’t do. I love you today, tomorrow, and forever.
Happy Mother’s Day!
