After listening to the snippet of Beyonce and Andre 3000’s version of “Back to Black” I am not honestly sure what to make of the Amy Winehouse classic. This song will appear on The Great Gatsby soundtrack which was produced by Jay Z. The soundtrack is set to be released May 7th. The album will include various artists like Will I Am and Fergie. Along with a remake of Beyonce’s own hit “Crazy in Love” by another artist. As we all know rapper Rick Ross has been involved in a media frenzy surrounding alleged rape lyrics that included ” Put Molly [Ecstasy] all in the champagne. She ain’t even know it. I took her home and I enjoy that. She ain’t even know it” . These lyrics cost Rick Ross his endorsement deal with Reebok. Reebok was approached by many anger women activist groups in an uproar about his choice of lyrics. By losing this deal Ross stands to lose between 3.5 and 5 million dollars.
