Bad Period? Tips to Kick Your Cramps Ass!

Periods can be a pain in the ass! Through the years I have had the worst experiences with my cycle. Being a woman during that time really slows me down. After some research I have found some cool things to eat and do to have an easier menstrual cycle.

1. Working Out

Working out allows blood flow to increase in the body which allows relief to your cramps. Taking a brisk walk or dancing can allow you some great comfort through your cycle.

2. Heat

During your menstrual cycle heat is your best friend. Using a heating pad or taking a relaxing bath is a great way to relieve cramps. The heat relaxes your abdominal muscles and creates the ultimate comfort. I use this method quite often. I make a nice cocktail, run a hot bath and then just chill. Although as I researched I’ve read you shouldn’t drink but where is the fun in that right?

3. Sex

I know this is the last thing on your mind but studies have shown having an orgasm decreases pain. The orgasm is a natural relaxer. An orgasm also increases blood flow and stops the uterus from contracting. Sex is also good for headaches, diet, and sleep. As we all know sex is enjoyable just make sure you are doing it the right way. Use a condom and stay safe.

4. Leafy Greens

During your period you should eat lots of greens. Leafy greens in salad have magnesium. Magnesium has a natural muscle relaxant. I would suggest kicking up your salad in take during your time of menstruation to create more comfort. Now I know sitting there eating leafy greens are boring so throw some chicken on it for good measure.

5.  Chocolate

Chocolate has is full of natural muscle relaxers. Now if you are a dark chocolate lover even better. Eating it will give you relief and it releases a happy endorphins to your brain. So break out your Hershey’s or Kit Kats and enjoy.

6. Water

Water is very important for the multiple things in your body skin, nails, hair etc. Drinking 2 to 3 liters of water daily will improve blood flow in the body. Which will decrease cramp pain. Drinking water will also help with acne outbreaks during the imbalance. Drink more water it does the body good!

7. Salmon

Salmon is full of Omega 3’s and it helps combat inflammation. What I would suggest is cook some salmon and place on those leafy greens and combat those cramps head on. You will be getting period relief along with keeping a trimmed waist.
