Be Yourself: You’re Perfect for the Role!

Do you ever find yourself altering who you are to make others comfortable? Why do we do this? Why isn’t who we are enough?

Why do we put on masks to seek acceptance from people who are by nature flawed themselves? I woke up this morning thinking about my flaws. I love the “f” word, I have anger issues, anxiety, and I know I stress way harder than a person my age should.

Above all these things my personality is one that is happy, open-hearted, free, loving, caring, helpful, trustworthy, and most importantly loyal.

We are always worried about what others think of us. Even the people who can’t dictate the direction of our lives. I find this a lot in the spiritual world. I chose to believe in Jesus who died for my sins knowing that I wasn’t perfect. He knew that everyday would be a work in progress to be the best I can.

God was so good he left the bible behind to guide me when I’m in doubt. I pray to God for all the things I may have done and all I am not aware of doing.

Knowing that your relationship with whomever you chose your God to be is personal. It is between you and your God. No man/woman walking this earth is allowed to judge you or tell you what direction your soul will be at the time of rapture. That is up to God.  To live in a bubble has to be a very hard existence because you can’t be what feels natural.

I find this in friendships. When you are friends with people whose personality is different than yours that can be difficult. If you find yourself having to appear a milder version of yourself due to fear of rejection then it maybe it’s time to rethink the connection. The thing with friendships are people are constantly changing. Sometimes people change at the same pace and other times one is ahead of the other.

The one thing that remains true in friendships is the foundation. If it is solid any conversation can be had without fear of losing the build.

My advice is to be yourself because jumping through hoops for people who have their own issues doesn’t make any sense at all. If people can’t accept the REAL you than it’s time to pack it up and go.
