BEYONCE: REMAKE OF AMY WINEHOUSE’S BACK TO BLACK…SMH

Beyonce is going to remake the late Amy Winehouse’s Grammy award winning “Back to Black”. I am not sure how to feel about this. I think some records need to be left alone. Just like when Beyonce remade Alanis Morissette’s “You Oughta Know” she didn’t do it justice. Some songs can’t be redone because these artist have unique voices like Amy and Alanis. I know this doesn’t matter to the masses because she runs the world so she can remake anyone’s record and receive the highest praise.

The rendition of the song will feature in the movie “The Great Gasby” that will premiere at the Cannes Festival in May. Interscope executives state that the record is done completely different. I am sure the single will hit the internet before the movie. The Great Gasby will be out May 30th 2013. It is unfortunate that we won’t have anymore music from Amy Winehouse who died in 2011 in her apartment in London. What do you think about the remake?
