Bobby Brown announced during one of his shows that his daughter Bobbi Kristina is awake after being in a comma for over 2 months.
Bobby Brown said on stage that his daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown is “awake” nearly three months after being found facedown in a bathtub — prompting howls of joy from the audience and more confusion about the troubled woman’s condition.
The R&B singer made the stunning statement during a Saturday concert at the Verizon Theatre in Grand Prairie, Tex., TMZ reported.
“Bobbi is awake. She’s watching me,” Brown said in a video posted on the gossip site.
But exactly what Brown meant was unclear.
A call to his lawyer was not returned.
A woman who answered the phone of his wife, Alicia Etheredge, hung up when reached by the Daily News.
A source told People magazine downplayed the dad’s message.
“As far as I know, there’s been no change,” the source said.
“We’re still hoping and praying that God will perform a miracle.”
Last week, Brown also spoke about his daughter’s condition while performing onstage.
“I dunno what the hell I am going through right now,” he said on April 11 at a soul-food festival in downtown Los Angeles, “but I am giving it to God and letting him deal with it.”
