I Had a Dream and it Was Water

Before I moved to UAE I would constantly dream of bridges. Bridges signify one thing connecting to another while also moving on and accepting something new. That was clear at the moment because I was moving across the ocean to a brand new place. I have always used my dreams to uncover my emotions and to understand things not yet revealed in my consciousness.

Last night’s dream was very fearful. My dream started with me going into my kitchen and looking out the window to see that the corniche (in land lake) was submerged in water. The water came all the way to my building and yet people were outside as if there was no flood. I felt my heart rate speed up. I was feeling completely out of control and trapped!

I looked at all the water around me and it felt like there was no way out. Then the most interesting thing happened. I started to focus more on the people who worked around the water and how they moved forward. Not even the deepest flood stopped them from their activities.

Although I woke my husband up screaming Jay! The corniche is underwater! He said to me calmly everything is as it should be Tiffany. With a trusting smile he pushed my frotastic hair from my face and reposition my blanket for me to go back to sleep. I did sleep for awhile longer but then woke up with that dream on my mind.

Life is full of floods. As adults we find our mental boats to proceed across troubled water. We also use the love and protection of God to help us. God is always by your side at all times. You never walk alone in your pain, happiness, or passion. He is always there watching and protecting. That is where my comfort is with him.

I just wanted to share my dream with you all and tell you I am not afraid of what is next. I am content.

Thanks for listening…
