Lane Bryant: #ImnoAngel

Lane Bryant has started a new campaign called I’m no Angel!

The #imnoangel idea was beyond genius. It is so amazing to see more women on television that our little girls whom aren’t skinny can look up to.

I remember as a child there were hardly any plus sized role models through media for me to relate to. It always made me feel like how I looked was wrong.

Growing up it always felt like the numbers on the scale was the confirmation of my sexy. The pressure of being thin has always been a struggle of mine. I have lost loads of weight many times and thought that would heal me. Only to find out it wasn’t the weight it was my perception of myself. It doesn’t matter how thin you become if your mind isn’t right from the start.

You can find confidence in the gym but it is solidified through the things you affirm mentally. I had to learn that who I am right now, with all my imperfections is sexy. I had to affirm that the number on the scale doesn’t make me less than any other women who walks by with a carved stomach.

My wobbly bits, flabby arms, and fat thighs only add to my inner awesome. Sexiness is not just in the way you look but in your aura. My smile, my laugh, and my walk ooze it. I am finally so proud to be whom I am.

I was so inspired by this commercial that I took my own photo to support the campaign. In my photo, I am wearing a Cacique Bold-Lace Full Coverage Bra.

I have bought my bras from Lane Bryant for years. They are the only store that you can find sexy and fashionable bras for busty women. I want to thank them for the positive images. This will help someone. I love it!
