Lil Wayne Wants His 8 Mil From Birdman Now!

Lil Wayne and Birdman have taking their feud to court!

According to TMZ Lil Wayne has filed a lawsuit against his mentor Birdman stating he violated his Cash Money Records contract by withholding his album. Birdman says he will release it “when the time is right”. I guess his time is up because Wayne is also seeking monies owed for the advance of the Carter V in the sum of 8 million dollars!

Last year Lil Wayne took his twitter and complained about the Carter V not being released. He wrote that Cash Money was a jail and he wanted to be free from.

Since then the label has been tight lipped in regards to their turmoil. In the mist of their chaos Lil Wayne released Sorry for the Wait 2. The lyrics on the intro song explains all the drama at Cash Money. Wayne even says if he has to leave with nothing he will. It must be really bad.

Other rumors have surfaced that when Lil Wayne leaves he is taking Nicki Minaj and Drake. He also has plans to release other music underneath another label. I am not sure how easy it will be to take those two artist if their all under the Cash Money umbrella when Young Money as the subsidiary.

I am sure this task requires mountains of legal paperwork. If this were to happen I can see Drake just releasing music under OVO instead of continuing with them.

Nicki Minaj posted this cryptic message via Instagram confirming money issues at the label.

Thanks to u guys, The Pinkprint is the #1 Rap album on Billboard for a fifth week. What happens when your album is streamed 70 million times? What happens when you’re the #1 streamed artist of December? Nothing, that’s what. Everyone benefits but the artist in 2015. Very different from the good “old” days.#BigBusiness #ButForWho Thank u for the support u guys ❤️
