The cast of “The Real” talk show that debuts July 15th on Fox sat down to give there commentary on Paula Deen’s use of the “N” word. Deen has been in the media for the last week in reference to her admitting to using the word over 30 years ago. Paula and her brother Bubba are currently being sued by former employee Lisa Jackson.

Well the cast have formed their opinions and made a clip for youtube. Loni Love started the conversation about Paula Deen saying that there is no excuse for her disrespectful behavior regarding race. Jeannie Mai was opposed to her comment stating Paula isn’t paid to be on television to talk about race she’s paid to make her famous fried chicken recipe.

Paula Deen Loses Food Network Job!

This got Loni and Tamar up in arms saying her statement would be considered racist. Mai stood by her comment by saying she supported Deen by buying her book with the famous recipe inside. Then the camera quickly faded back to Love stating this why we call this show “The Real” because we say how we feel and are still friends.

Paula Deen Loses Endorsements!

The conversation seemed to get very heated towards the end. I feel these women make a good group to talk about pop culture and current events.

My take on Paula Deen is this she isn’t the first or the last person to call someone a nigger and im sure she won’t be the last. Being black everywhere is wack. We are the most hated race period although there isn’t anything in or through out history where there is reason for the hate it just is. So I am not all out of control because Paula Deen said or called someone a “nigger” sometimes that type of shit is expected.

Whose Worse Paula Deen or Koch Brothers?

There is more ignorance in the world unfortunately than there is people with common sense. The media has created a shit storm about Paula Deen when this racism thing stretches beyond her and the comments she made.

As a black person you are told growing up don’t drive in this area. Make sure you keep your voice down you don’t want to appear violent. You get use to people assuming you will steal shit in the store.

You are use to the fact that if something goes wrong everyone is usually looking at you due to race. There are so many rules black people have to follow to avoid the stigmata of being called “nigger” and even our best is never good enough. The way the world is set up we were born to fail.

I’ve heard growing up and in my adulthood  “Oh you speak very well” or “Your not like other black people”. These things other races don’t have to ever endure. So excuse me if I am not all overly hurt by comments that are conveyed directly or indirectly.
