What The Hell Happened To Waka Flocka Flame?

During the year of 2009, a young rapper named Waka Flocka Flame burst through the music scene with a southern flow merge with upbeat street sound. When “O Let’s Do It” transitioned to the airwaves, people had their reservations about accepting a guy that blatantly promotes party music rather than lyrical substance.

Waka’s Mom Tries to Sign Rasheeda of Love and Hip Hop

Every time we thought Waka would just be a phase that could never truly obtain sustainable success within the rap world, he kept composing hit after hit after hit. I began to gravitate to Waka’s music because it was catchy and made the party atmosphere transfer from boring and dull to wildly entertaining. I began to believe that Waka had orchestrated a solid movement when Diddy and Rick Ross reach out to the young star for a feature on his 1st single “O Let’s Do It”.

Now, fans of Waka Flocka are pondering if his 15 minutes of fame are up? I haven’t heard a mainstream single from our beloved Atlanta rapper for almost two years. I know once entertainers especially rappers are known for growing lazy once success becomes a reality, but I miss Flocka’s wild and aggressive music.

We have all heard about the beef between Gucci and Waka, but that shouldn’t stop Flocka from making intriguing music that can bust some heads in the club. Now, I never said that Waka Flocka will ever be a lyrical rapper, but I need him to silence the critics and start composing that powerful sound that captivated the hip hop community.
