Jay Z: “What If I Am Not A Good Father”

Jay Z has released two teaser videos for his upcoming album Magna Carta Holy Grail. The rap mogul has unveiled two youtube clips in reference to songs Jay Z Blue and Heaven. When describing the essence of the song Jay Z Blue he explains how he was never taught by his father whom left him at a young age how to be a father. He also says he was never taught how to treat a woman. He then adds now that I am in the situation I need both because I have a daughter.

It seems to me that Jay Z has some unresolved issues with his father that has passed on. He did get some clarity before he died but they were never really given the opportunity to start over. When he was explaining this situation to Rick Rubin it almost seemed as if he was going to cry.

I can understand how the absence of a parent can affect you as a child. Your parents have no idea what their presence in your life really means. I am so proud to say that at my age I am okay with the fact that my father wasn’t there and it no longer brings me to a dark place. I am proud to know that through the years I have created my own worth which makes me strong.

As for Blue I am almost certain that even if the Carter’s were to separate that he would be the best dad. People don’t realize that some of the best parents are children who grew up with one or both missing. A good parent whose felt that pain would never want their child to feel unwanted or alone. Jay Z almost seems almost human in these clips.
