SHOTS FIRED! DRAKE GOES AT CHRIS BROWN ON EVR RADIO!

On Friday Drake sat down with EVR radio for an interview with Elliot. Drake talked about his beef with Chris Brown, Rihanna, and Rick Ross losing his endorsement deal with Reebok over alleged rape lyrics. I listened to the interview and honestly Drake still seems a little hurt at the fact Rihanna chose Chris. I don’t know why the rebound dude always thinks you will end up with them.

Drake was the rebound guy in my opinion. It’s foul but true. He comments on Brown’s treatment of her and how he treated her better. Maybe he did but Rihanna doesn’t care. She is taking instagram photos with Chris. I think this feud which is basically over her is wack. Drake needs to let it go and so does Chris.

Drake needs to stop writing diss records about Chris and his relationship with Rihanna. No one cares if you had matching sweaters in the suitcase. The reality is she is with that dude now. Here is my advice find someone else. Honestly I think Rihanna is to wild for his suburban self anyway.

Us suburban kids need to stay in our lane. The one thing I did agree with that Drake said was he didn’t want to engage in this beef anymore through media.  Last but least I love Drake and most his songs make me feel like a stripper. My favorite song is “Houston Atlanta Vegas” and I am guilty of listening to it on repeat. As an artist he is dope and I appreciate his contribution to the Hip Hop community. Thanks for the jams Aubrey! #yourock

Here are Drake’s quotes from the interview with EVR:

On his new music: “This week is gonna be a special week. I got a song that started out as a ‘Started’ remix and took on a life of its own. [DJ] Khaled’s gonna be premiering that ’cause I gave the song to him. He’s got some guests on it. … I got another song that’s coming out this coming week that won’t be on the album. You talked about am I ever gonna sing again. I got some things coming up this week for the people.”

On his new album: “I’m excited about the place me and 40 are in. I’m doing this whole album in order, so like the first six songs just tell this story that I’ve been dying to tell, and now I’m just trying to continue that story.”

On Rick Ross’ Reebok situation: “When I get in that booth, the microphone is on. The world is listening. I think that situation the other day with the Rocko song was like a big wake-up call for all of us. Rap is important, man. The world islistening. It’s a wake up call. If you’re gonna say something that can put you at risk, make sure that it’s a message that’s worth fighting for.”

On The Weeknd: “OVO was OVO and will always be OVO. All we did was embrace somebody that we felt was extremely talented from our city. Instead of hating on it and rejecting it, we just completely embraced it. That was a big part of why it is where it is now. People make their own decisions. He went on to do something that he felt was a great decision. More power to him. I talk to him all the time and I look forward to whatever he has coming in the future. I wouldn’t call it a parting of ways. I just think people reach a point where they need to make decisions.”

On Chris Brown: For any media outlet that listens to this interview, don’t ask me shit about that man when I come up there and leave that man alone. Stop praying on his insecurities. His insecurities are the fact that I make better music than him, that I’m more poppin’ than him, and that at one point in life, the woman that he loves fell into my lap. I did what a real ni**a would do and treated her with respect, so she not up there talking down on me. All those things combined create an individual that comes up to your radio station and is just gonna do dumb shit. It shouldn’t be about tearing that man down.

It shouldn’t be about wanting to see me and him tear each other down. We have an issue and it’s either gonna drag out or maybe in 10 years we’ll laugh about it over drinks. Just let us solve that shit. ‘Cause it’s not me and Kendrick. It’s not me and Hov. You’re not gonna get anything out of it. I don’t want to hear that man rap. Nobody wants to hear me rap against him. I really do this shit. … Let him put out the whatever project X or whatever that shit he’s working on. I’m gonna out this real shit for the people.

I feel for him too. Every interview he does, they talk about me. It is what it is. I’m focused on this album and on everything else we got going on. I’m not thinking about that man at all or that girl.”

On Lil Wayne’s hospitalization: “Everything is overhyped by the media, but at the same time, it was a very serious situation. I wasn’t in L.A. at the time. I got on a plane and went straight to L.A. For him to even call me, which he did, and we shared probably one of the most important conversations of my life to date and it made me be like, ‘I gotta go see this man.’ … I think that was a wake-up call for him though. He’ll pull it together. He just works harder than anybody. He’s just a rock star for real.”
