100 Days of Happy: My Husband

It’s day 6 on my 100 days of happy journey and today what has made me the most happy is my husband. I admire his dedication not to settle. Jay gets up from his bed everyday and says “fuck normal that shit ain’t for me.”

Every move he makes is for the benefit of our family. I am in awe of his will to just be all things he can to me. While living here in the Middle East I can honestly say that our relationship has become teflon. Being so far from family or friends we have no choice but to work through any difficulties we experience.

There are no other sound boards just us. Being here together like this has truly strengthened our problem solving skills. Being in the Middle East in that regard has been a rewarding and treasured experience. We have been together today for six years. Who knew when I answered that Facebook message to come hang out at a party that I would end up marrying the promoter.

It’s funny how life turns out that way. Although at the moment he is away on business I miss him and his noise. The searching for things he can’t find, the shameless dancing, and my favorite that smile that greets me then says “Heeeeeeeyyyyyyy Babbbbbyyy” Jay is truly a joy to be around and I couldn’t have selected a better mate to spend my years with. I am sure we have many more adventures to go on together and I am very excited.
