Dear Jersey,

Sometimes I feel my boyfriend doesn’t understand how to make love to me. We have a fantastic relationship filled with love and compassion however, our sex vibes are a little off. Im not being left satisfied.

How can I talk to him about this without him getting defensive? Does this mean we aren’t really in love? Help!

Dear Unsatisfied,

Sex is a big part of your relationship and being left unsatisfied after sex sucks. If your relationship is built on a good foundation and you are respectful you should be able to have a conversation about what you like sexually.

Letting your partner know about what you need in the bedroom is all about communication. If he isn’t sure how to please you, show him how. Tell him what you like and what you don’t. Make sure you compliment him on what you do like while asking for additional sexual pleasures.

As for being in love, that’s a whole other issue. Sex shouldn’t determine whether you love someone it should only add to it. It is possible to be in love with someone who just isn’t good in bed. Now go to your man and have a conversation so you can roll over happy. I hope this helped.
